explore our barre classes

  • This Signature Barre Class is for every body, whether you’re new to barre or a seasoned pro.

Combining elements of Ballet, Pilates and Yoga, this class will work on your strength, flexibility, mobility and balance.

With options to modify or challenge each exercise, our instructors will ensure that you move at a pace that feels right for you.

what’s all the fuss about?

  • Barre is a low-impact, full-body form of movement that takes its inspiration from Ballet, Pilates and Yoga. It gets it’s name from the stationary handrail that you’ll be using for much of the class, similar to the one used in Ballet.

But don’t let that fool you, as Barre is not just for dancers (and doesn’t really involve dancing at all)! People of all backgrounds and fitness levels come to Barre classes to improve their strength, flexibility, mobility and balance.

Although Barre is low on impact, meaning it’s friendly to your joints, it’s high on challenge and efficiency, using high repetitions to strengthen muscular endurance.

  • We might be here a while!
Barre strengthens your whole body, improves posture, increases flexibility, and wakes up muscles you didn’t even know you had, all in a low-impact way that’s kind to your joints.

    Move Better Every Day
Small, precise movements at the barre make everyday activities easier. Daily tasks that involve reaching, twisting, bending, and climbing all feel more controlled, balanced, and effortless.

The Perfect Compliment to Other Forms of Exercise
Barre targets stabilising muscles that other workouts often overlook. Building strength here improves balance, supports proper alignment, and reduces the risk of injury in everything you do, from lifting in the gym to running, cycling, field sports and more.

    Mind-Body Connection
By linking breath with controlled movement, Barre improves focus, coordination and body awareness. You leave class feeling grounded, connected, and confident in how your body moves, a feeling that stays with you long after you’ve left the barre.

  • Barre is perfect for anyone who wants to move with more ease, build strength, and feel more connected in their body. Whether you’re new to exercise or an advanced athlete, in your 20s or in your 70s, we have a class that’s right for you. We teach a range of class types, so we can meet you where you are at on your movement journey.

If you prefer a more personal approach, private sessions are available too, just drop us a line.
