Our bones naturally lose strength and density as we age, and the hormonal changes around perimenopause and menopause can contribute to this.
Reduced bone density can lead to a greater risk of fractures and falls.
The good news? There’s plenty we can do to support our bones, and it’s never too late to start.
Resistance exercise puts healthy stress through our bones, while strengthening the muscles and tendons around them helps provide the pull and load that encourages bones to stay strong. Add in exercises that challenge our balance, and we’re helping our bodies stay strong, steady and active as we age.

This course is for anyone who wants to get stronger, improve their balance and look after their bone health in a friendly, supportive environment.
It’s particularly beneficial during perimenopause and menopause, and is also suitable for those with osteopenia or osteoporosis.
No previous experience or level of fitness is needed. We’ll meet you where you’re at.
